A 20-year-old Plant City man died in an accident on State Road 56 at when he attempted to cross State Road 56 near Silver Maple Parkway just before midnight on Monday, the Land O’Lakes Patch reports. The victim was hit by a Dodge Caravan minivan.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that the man had been walking north on State Road 56 and was crossing from the south shoulder to the north when he was hit. He died at the scene.
No charges have been filed at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
